Color Guard is the group within the Yorkville Marching Foxes marching band that visually represents the music the band is performing. To do this, the color guard members use flags in conjunction with dance to interpret the music’s melody and mood. The color guard season starts at the end of the school year in late April or early May when spin sessions are held. Color Guard meets again at the end of July and runs through October, when the season typically ends. Throughout the season, the color guard performs at all home football games and competes at local marching festivals.
